On the face of it, this computer looks really great and has the ability to run on battery power for six and half hours, which all sounds good, but could there be a few minor problems that bring this MSI back down to ground. It would seem so because its shape means that it cannot be placed on the lap comfortably and worst of would be the fact that if you upgrade anything inside, then your warranty is voided, now that it is something to think about.
There is only one real feature on this machine that is worth talking about and that is the price tag of $155, yes that is right this is the cheapest mini laptop on the US market today. So that is the price, what do you get for your money?

There are plenty of mini laptops around these days; many are made by the some computer makers. Like Samsung who have released the N110 a ten inch Samsung mini laptop. The first that you notice is the standard Samsung glossy lid and red stripe around the outside of the body.
The launch of the Samsung NC20 was anticipated to be around the 16th March, but obviously that has passed and so the new release date for the US is being talked about being early April, which is not that long away. A Samsung announcement must be imminent so stand by for the news. In the means, time here is what you can expect to see on the NC20.
It was a couple of years ago when Asus stated that they would be bringing out a bamboo covered laptop, there are some other out there at the moment but none as good looking at this one.

This is laptop that succeeds the “Hello Kitty” laptop which used to be a MSI Wind One, but who is counting. This is the all new Sotec C103 by Onkyo, it is a standard machine with a six cell battery, which would normally mean a long time on battery power, but this one only gives a maximum of five hours.
It looks as if there are going to be some new kids on the block, as the Taiwanese computer maker ViewSonic, this range of laptops is going to include a massive twenty two inch laptop. Now that is going to be a serious machine, to use and to carry around.
The growth of mini laptops goes on and on, one day there will be so many that computer makers will have to think up something else for the consumers to buy. However, at the moment we are looking at the Freedom mini laptop by Zoostorm, it is made in the UK but do not hold that against it!
The market is about to get another UMPC and this time it is going to be from Samsung, this seven inch display device will be known as the Samsung NP Q1EX, but a more catchier name could do the whole thing a power of good. This device has some great features as shown below, but is there enough demand for this at the moment, Samsung thinks so.
Does that name look familiar, yes it could similar to Vaio and the way that it is written on the top of the mini laptop lid a quick glance could mean that someone will be fooled. However, is this a fake Sony Vaio or a proper computer that has similarities to the Sony version? One thing is for sure it is not likely to be sitting on the shelves of the local super market any time now.
