When Best Buy started advertising the about to be launched Motorola XOOM Tablet device, it had a price tag of $800, imagine that! This of course is for the top of range model that sports Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, however it has now emerged that there will be a XOOM offering just a Wi-Fi only option for $600. That is $200 difference, where does that price difference come from? 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, powered by a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, comes with front and rear facing cameras, 1 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage. It is believed that the Motorola XOOM will be one of the first tablets to be running the Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. Prices are expected to start at around $600 Source [Liliputing] a 3g, motorola, Tablet News, Tablets, wi fi, xoom tablet
a

It seems that the growth in the coffee shop has followed the growth in laptop ownership, but now the two seem to be party company as consumers find that buying an expensive coffee is less important than it used to be. This means that the coffee shop is struggling and so those customers who buy a coffee and spend all day using the free Wi-Fi are not to be encouraged any more in some establishments. One popular coffee shop is Naidre in Brooklyn, NY; they have decided that because of the economic downturn that laptops and netbooks will be banned during certain times like lunchtime and evenings. These are busy times for the coffee shops and they simply cannot afford to have table space, Wi-Fi and electricity wasted on a customer that is not buying anything, oh how times have changed. Source [Think Laptops] a banned, coffee, Laptop Fun, Laptop News, laptops, ny, stores, wi fi
a

This is said to be the smallest and most handy way of carrying around a Wi-Fi signal locator with you, it comes with a key chain so the obvious thing is to use this for your keys and the Wi-Fi locator is always with you. From the Manufacturer The Mobile Edge Wi-Fi Signal Locator (SL) is the smallest and most convenient way to check for hot spots without going through the tedious process of having to first boot-up your notebook and then search for a signal. By attaching the Wi-Fi SL to your key chain or carrying case, you will always be immediately aware of the presence of local hot spots. The patent-pending technology instantly detects only Wi-Fi signal presence. This technology eliminates false readings from microwave and portable phone interference. It detects 802.11B and G Networks. In addition, with four bright LED’s you can easily see your signal strength.
One of ASUS’s newest Eee PC 1000HD is probably a great choice for anyone who doesn’t mind its Linux operating system. Of course, as for me, I rather have a Windows XP and install Linux afterwards if I feel like it. Of course, another side to this story is that the 1000HD has an Intel Celeron M processor versus an Intel Atom N270 processor. (which I prefer. Celerons have proven to be slow in the past.) The other better half of Eee PC 1000HD is the 1000HA, which we will be reviewing next. Before that, you can absorb all the specs and raves about the Eee PC 1000HD here: Operating system: Linux Internal memory: 80 GB hard disk drive (HDD) RAM: 1 GB DDR2 Processor: 900 MHz Intel Celeron M 353 Memory expansion: Slot for MMC/SD(SDHC) cards Screen: 10 inches, 1024 x 600 pixels, LED backlight Networking: Draft-N Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), 10/100 Fast Ethernet Bluetooth connectivity: Yes Peripheral connectivity: Three USB 2.0 External video: One VGA External audio: One headphone and one microphone port Webcamera: Yes, 1.3 megapixels Battery: 6 cells (6600 mAh), up to 4.6 hours Weight: 3.19 pounds (51 ounces) Dimensions: 10.5 × 7.5 × 1.5 inches UPDATE: Eee … Continue reading →
a

The iPower GX also features 1,920 x 1,200 resolution display, nVidia 9800M GTS 1GB video card, Intel Core 2 Quad Q9100 processor, Draft-N Wi-Fi connectivity and Optional Blu-ray drive. The 8.9n screen comes in at 1024×600, making some netbooks look weedy by comparison.
The ASUS Eee PC 4G may be the best 7″ mini-notebook on the market today. The question is, is it for you? Well, you can decide for yourself after looking at these specs: Get the power of a full-sized laptop in the ultra-compact ASUS Eee PC 4G, which offers a full QWERTY keyboard, 7-inch screen, and preinstalled Linux operating system. (This laptop is also compatible with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.) You’ll be able to stay connected to email and the Internet easily thanks to the Wi-Fi LAN (802.11b/g), and communicate via video chat and VoIP with the Webcam integrated into the display’s bezel. Because it uses flash memory instead of a hard drive (with 4 GB of storage), the Eee PC is optimal for weathering rough handling and sharing space in overstuffed bags. I do like it because of the fact that it’s about the price of an iPhone, yet you can do so much. Buy an ASUS Eee PC 4G at Amazon here a 4 gb, 4g, 802 11b, amazon, ASUS Netbooks, bezel, flash memory, full qwerty keyboard, hard drive, iphone, laptop, Laptop Reviews, linux operating system, microsoft windows, mini notebook, video chat, voip, weathering, webcam, wi … Continue reading →
a
