Hewlett Packard have released more details for the Pavilion G6 laptop, the base details for the HP Pavilion g6 will be the 15.6 inch LED back light display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, powered by the 2nd Generation Intel Core i3 and i5 “Sandy Bridge” processors and with graphics provided through the Intel HD integrated graphics card. Here are the recently released specs and features for the HP Pavilion g6 laptop; 15.6-inch LED-backlight display is 1366-by-768 pixels, choice of processor from the 2nd Generation Intel Core i3 and i5 “Sandy Bridge” processors, as well as with the previous Core i3 and i5 “Nehalem” and Pentium CPUs. Choice graphics cards from the Intel HD integrated graphics or the AMD Radeon 6470M dedicated GPU, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. The Timeline from Acer may come under the netbook banner, but considering that the specs have now been released or leaked, this computer seems to fall into the laptop category now. The best way to launch a product is in stages and it seems that MSI have got this right off from the start. First up there is the launch, this is closely followed by the specs and very nice they are too, finally the release date of which we do not know, yet! Ringing in at around $780, the Gateway M-7818u is tricky. It sure looks a lot like the Samsung X460, with its stylish red accents. But, the comparisons stop right there. Beyond a flashy coat, the M-7818u is a clunker. The first thing to realize is that the M-7818u is a special configuration on the Gateway M-series made only for Office Max. Yep. Office Max. Friends, if you are going to Office Max to buy a computer. Well, you shouldn’t be. Before anything else, this is a budget model notebook, and it shows with the specs. While the fairly standard Gateway configuration of nice components make up the heart of the machine — a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM — that’s about where the sexy stuff ends. In tests, Laptop Magazine found the M-7818u to be fast on boot and application launch, but molasses slow when it came to multi-tasking.
