The Gateway M151X Artic Bloom Laptop was launched. From what we can tell, this is one horrible laptop you don’t want to buy since it comes with Vista with only 2GB of memory. We’d do a more comprehensive analysis but by doing our 3 seconds look at the specs and the $849.99 price tag (for the most basic setup), the Gateway M151X has horrible specs. FIrst, look at their 15.4″ LCD display which boast 1280×800 pixel maximum resolution, is that a joke? Even most laptops off the shelve come with 1400×1050 pixels. If you are gonna buy this laptop for your 6 year old, it might be a good buy but otherwise, just stay away! Here’s the specs: Processor Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor2 T5450 (1.66GHz, 667MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache) Operating System Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium (32-bit) Memory 2048MB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (2-1024MB modules) Hard Drive 250GB 5400rpm Serial ATA hard drive w/ 8MB cache4 Chassis Intel® PM965 Chipset and ATI Mobility™ Radeon® HD 2400 XT with 256MB Dedicated Graphics Memory Display 15.4″ WXGA Ultrabright TFT Active Matrix (1280 x 800 max. resolution) Wireless Network Integrated Intel® 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wireless Networking Bluetooth Bluetooth® 2.0+EDR Web Camera Integrated 1.3 Megapixel Web … Continue reading →
a
