HP has just launched HDX16 and HDX18 series laptops. The HDX16 comes with a 16″ display and lots of power-packed features. The only bad part about HPs is that they come with Vista Premium, which most people will uninstall anyways. Other than that, it looks like a pretty good buy but make sure get HP warranty, I have two 17″ laptops sitting on my desk that just “died” one day. Sony recalls 73,000 VGN TZ series laptops specifically VGN-TZ100 series, VGN TZ200 series, VGN-TZ300 series and VGN-TZ2000 series that can cause burning or fire hazards. When portable devices overheat — and, at the extreme, explode or catch fire — problems are often tied to faulty, cheap battery cells.
