This is another mini laptop from Acer, it’s very similar to the Aspire One and therefore it has be assumed that the device is going to be the 10.1 inch version unless they have brought out a totally new machine which would be surprising to say the least. In fact, anyone looking at this could be forgiven for thinking that this is the AOD150 10.1 inch in diamond black, but it is not. There are some subtle differences like the ports along the sides, these have been rearranged and the battery does appear to have a different look to it too. it could be a mark two version, but why. Source [Portable Monkey] a 10" Netbooks, acer, Acer Laptops, diamond black, mini laptop, ports, subtle differences
a

Toshiba rolls out a new 12.1″ widescreen laptop loaded with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor SU9300, 3GB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz SDRAM, 160GB HDD, DVD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, and webcam. Toshiba’s new Portege A600 will allow you to watch HD movies except there’s one important thing missing, there’s no DVI outputs for connecting to your HDTV. If that’s something you don’t care about, this is a great laptop but still, I’d have to say the pricing is a little bit higher than it’s specs. Another plus feature is its USB Sleep-and-Charge/eSATA Combo Port as said: Plug into more speed and convenience. Charge your smart phone and any other USB powered portable electronics even when your laptop is off. Or get faster transfer rate when using an external eSATA hard drive. Either way, this Portege laptop gives you the ports you need to get the job done. This is a minor feature that I would rather pay less than have the extra feature. Overall, if you like Toshibas, this is a good laptop but I’d still rather get a $600 Dell, which would be about the same minus memory, webcam, and stuff I don’t really absolutely need. via … Continue reading →
a

Acer Aspire One is now availble in Europe. The A110L comes with an Atom N270 processor, the 945GSE chipset, 512MB to 1GB of RAM depending on where you look, an 8.9in LED backlit LCD display with 1,024×600 resolution, an 8GB NAND flash module, a multi-format memory card reader, 802.11b/g WiFi, 10/100Mbit Ethernet, modem and three USB 2.0 ports. It measures 249x170x29mm (WxDxH) and weighs in at 0.9kg. Again, depending on where you look it’ll either come with a 2,200mAH 3-cell battery or a 4,400mAH 4-cell battery. It will use Linpus Linux Lite as its OS and it’s divided up into four sections on the screen to make it easy to locate the applications you need. The sections are connect, work, fund and files. The other two models, the A150L and A150X both comes with a 120GB hard drive, with the L version still using Linux while the X version gets, you guessed it, Windows XP. All models will be available in either blue and black or white and black. via engadget a 120gb hard drive, Acer Laptops, atom, cell battery, europe, flash module, format memory, lcd display, memory card reader, modem, ports, using linux, windows xp
a

Download latest version of Flash to view video!. Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode Well, this is cool, not as cool as the PS3 Laptop... The screen is too small to be practical but I guess it’s portable. Doesn’t look a lot of fun compared to a 82″ HDTV… It’s the Wii laptop! We spent the last few weeks (including much time spent over the holidays evading relatives) slaving over this bad boy and finally it’s complete. Check out the features: * 16:9 widescreen LCD, 7-inch diagonal. * Stereo sound * Gamecube controller port * Built-in short range Sensor Bar * Ports for using original Sensor Bar and A/V output jacks (for use on external display) * Built-in power supply and compartment for power cord * Dimensions: 8.5 x 7.7 x 2-inches Starting next Tuesday we’ll be doing a multi-part How-To with detailed instructions for building your own Wii laptop, as well as loads of photos of the construction process. But for now check out the gallery for more detailed photos of the unit, and click on to see some video of the Wii laptop in action. via engadget a bad boy, controller port, gamecube, hdtv, holidays, laptop, … Continue reading →
a
