Samsung restyles the NF21 netbook

Samsung have given the NF21 a new curvy look and feel and some extra features too, such as the new battery that is said to offer the user up to eleven hours worth of usage, of course it depends the type of usage on how this cattery will last.

The firm have also introduced a new 10.1 inch non reflective display, as island style keyboard, a cool looking off white colouring and the new shape case.

Asus launch the Eee PC 1001PQD

This netbook will be replacing the existing PC 1001PQ model, this is the model that came with a sticker set so that the user could customise the machine to suit their own style etc and they still can with the newer model.

One of the main changes is in the processor department, this is where the Intel Atom N450 has been replaced by the Intel Atom N455 processor that has been clocked to 1.66 GHz, apart from this there does not appear to be any other major changes to the netbook.

The SungWorld range of computers has the dubious accolade of having a $73 starting price, but by anyone’s standards that is just too cheap and the range has been added to with the 10.1 inch display L3 it’s a little bit more up market than the smaller versions and comes with a much higher price tag of just over $300.

However, this is a venture in cost cutting, finding ways to make the computer cheaper and one of the ways to do that has been to remove the mouse buttons so that they are integrated in with the touch pad.

Medion launched in Europe

You may not have heard much about Medion, but here in the UK and in Europe they are a very popular brand, one of the more lowest priced brands but popular none the less.

Now the company have brought out a new netbook, it’s a 10.1 inch version; it comes with an Atom N270 processor and Windows 7 starter.

Specs – 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 display, an Intel GMA 950 graphics card, a 1 GB RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, a 4 in 1 card reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3 cell battery and Windows 7 Starter OS. The Medion Akoya Mini E1217 is now available in Europe for around $494.
