The mobile broadband provider AT&T has added more mini laptops to its subsidised range, as from now new customers will be able to pick up an Acer Aspire One, Dell Inspiron Mini 10, and Lenovo IdeaPad S10.
All three machines offer similar specs, 10 inch display, 1 Gb, 160 Gb hard drive, Windows XP and multi touch trackpad. The cost for the machines will $200 when taken on a two year contract at a cost of $40 per month
The market in touch screen laptops is about to get a little hotter with the introduction of the Gigabyte Touchnote T1028 this goes into the marketplaces against not much competition as of yet, but these Gigabyte machines look so cool and come with a vertical docking port too, that they will take some beating.

It is just typical that Sony decided to show off the wonderful Vaio W in an event in Milan, Italy! This has been coming for some time now, Google have been creeping around the software sector for some time, with apps giving users the opportunity to use email, browser and now an operating system that has been designed for netbooks. The way that Google see it is that most netbooks are using Windows XP; this has been around for eight years or so and has been designed to work with Pentium III and IV processors. Whereas today’s netbooks are using x86 and ARM chips, Chrome OS has been designed to work with these.
The Timeline from Acer may come under the netbook banner, but considering that the specs have now been released or leaked, this computer seems to fall into the laptop category now. It may have the look and feel of a mini laptop but this carries some series specs and although not mentioned we expect it to come with Windows Vista with the option to upgrade to Windows 7 for free when it is released in October.
