asus_eee_pc_narrowweb__300x3412

With a lot of recent buzz about the addition of 3G to some popular Mini Netbooks, bot the Dell and HP, I thought I’d show you a hack I found a while back on how to add 3G to an Asus Eee PC. It’s actually pretty easy and it gives you even more freedom with one of the best netbooks out there.

Adding 3G can have a lot of benefits, and pretty much every netbook should be thinking about how to access the 3G network. But, as companies are still figuring it out, you can hack you Eee PC to do it right now.

Here’s how:

HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition Review and Specs

hp-mini-1000-vivienne-tam-edition

A few days back, the Laptop Pimp took a look at the HP Mini 1000 and he was pretty interested in the little netbook from HP. But, will the Vivienne Tam Edition of the Mini 1000 make the cut? Let’s find out.

When it comes down to Specs, you are looking at the exact same computer as the normal Mini 100. The $150 price difference between the two machines is a matter of the case. This makes sense, seeing that Tam is a fashion designer, and this edition of the Mini has a beautiful red case with a

Epson makes netbooks? (Epson Endeavor Na01 Mini Review and Specs)

epson-endeavor-1

Who knews Epson was in the netbook game. Apparently, they are, and they rolled out the new Endeavor Na01 mini today in Japan. Available for about $484, teh Na01 mini can’t print your photos, but it can display them on a 10.2″ display.

Just what we needed, another netbook.

I won’t get too much into the specifics, as I doubt too many of the LaptopPimp readers are going to rush out to Japan and pick one of these up. But, just in case, here are the specs:

Acer Aspire One Review and Specs

acer-aspire-one

Miniature laptops have a future. As schools move toward more computer work and WiFi clouds expand, the need for tiny notebooks at affordable prices will only grow. I guess that’s where netbooks like Acer’s Asprie One come in. Weighing in at 2.1 pounds and sporting a small 8.9 inch frame, the Aspire One is a great ultra portable at a ultra-affordable $350. (Or less, depending.)

With a set of solid specs, the Aspire One offers internet usability and basic computing on its Linux opera

Windows 7 Notebook Review

windows-7

My favorite laptop magazine, LaptopMag.com has a great hands-on review of Windows 7 on a Laptop:

While our operating system is described as a pre-beta, everything seems very solid. We used the system for hours without a crash or a blue screen of death in sight. We didn’t install many apps, but those we did—Adobe Reader, Firefox, CamStudio, and GIMP—all ran flawlessly. If this is the pre-beta, we can’t wait to see the beta.

I think Windows 7 is

Netbook Rumors – HP Mini 1000 Netbook Review!

hp-mini

HP has “hinted” consumers about their new HP Mini 1000, supposedly 2.25lbs and less than 1″ thin, rivaling other great netbooks.

Although there’s no full specs on this little beast yet, the following is for sure:

Starting price of $399 Weight begins at 2.25 pounds, which is a little less than the HP Mini-note Under 1-inch in thickness Like the Acer Aspire One, the left and right mouse betters truly are left and right… of the trackpad. The large screen bezel of the 8.9-inch Mini-note is gone; we’re guessi

Mouse Computer – A new 10-inch Netbook!

mouse-computer

Here’s another netbook from Mouse Computer.  I haven’t heard of Mouse Computer before, I think it’s a Japanese company that sells laptops only in Japan.  Anyways, it looks like a carbon-copy of the ASUS Eee PC.

Mouse Computer just informed us of the October release of their new Netbook. The G1000 will feature 10.2-Inch LCD screen with WSVGA resolution (1024×600), an Intel Atom N270 (1.6GHz), 1GB of RAM, 160GB of SATA HDD, multi card reader (SD / Memorystick / MemoryStick Pro / Multimedia Card), Wi-Fi b/g, three USB ports,
