The computer makers have been busy at the Computex show, one surprising return to the business is ECS, they have not been around for a while, but now they are back with three different models.

ECS T10IL, which weighs less than 1 kilogram (or about 2.2 pounds) and features a 10.1 inch display, 1.8″hard drive or SSD, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and an HSUPA modem.

This one is strictly for the girls, a laptop finished off in the style and branding of Hello Kitty. Now this may now be every ones idea of a cool laptop, but there are plenty of young ladies out there who would love to get their hands on one of these laptops.
Features:
The standard version comes with a Celeron 900 processor (2.2GHz), 1GB Ram and an 80GB HDD (price: $1,350).
The high-spec Hello Kitty notebook is equipped with a Core 2 Duo P8700 processor (2.53GHz); 2GB of RAM and a 160 GB HDD (price $1,650)

This is Acer once more on the release scene and again two models that offer different options for the user, depending on what their desires are. Both are going to be considered as mini laptops, as these offer a 10.1 inch and 13.3 inch displays, handy for the traveller and student.

The great thing about the CES is that there is so much news coming out of there that sometimes it all seems to blend into a single story. This is another release from Dell, this time the Inspiron Mini, this time it is expected to be a ten inch version, which would fit very nicely into the already existing choice of models.
These bags are not on the market yet, but will be in the spring and their unique styling is bound to create a big deal among those people who have to carrying their laptops to and from work every day.

Dell’s new Inspiron 910, the first ever mini-notebook by Dell, will have an option to have Ubuntu Linux installed from factory.
FYI, Ubuntu is a free operating system based on Linux. It’s not the easiest Linux to install (well most Linux are pretty damn hard to install) but since Ubuntu comes installed in the new Dell, we think it’s a better deal than Windows or a Mac.
High-end Eec PC - ASUS S101 in the works!
It looks like ASUS is working on the high-end Eee PC versions, currently dubbed, “ASUS S101″.
I really like this concept as I feel that ASUS Eee PCs weren’t going to satisfy my high-power requirements for mobile computing.
According to CNET Crave Taiwan and HKEPC, Asus is preparing a high-end version of Eee PC that features 64GB SSD. The new laptop will named as the S101 and the Eee PC brand will be dropped to reflect the higher price tag of $899 USD.

Inside said system is going to reside a VIA C7-D processor running at 1.6GHz (so not the new Nano but newer models probably will), Internal 64KB – L1 & 128KB – L2 cache memory and 400MHz FSB. It will be outfitted with DDR2 533 512 MB RAM with an additional single SODIMM slot expansion to 1024MB if required.
