The Acer Aspire One Happy is supposed to be one of those laptops that makes you smile and your day starts off well, so we have seen images and read the specs, but what is this mini laptop actually like when you get up close and personal with the happiest netbook in town. Not much it would seem as the video shows, the netbook may come with bright colours, but it appears to be lacking a kick in other areas. These are the features for the newly released Acer Aspire One Happy: 10.1 inch display, with either a single core Atom N450 processor or a dual core Atom N550 chip. WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional 3G. The Acer Aspire One Happy supports up to 2GB of memory and will be available with up to 250GB of hard drive space. It cones dual boot Windows 7 and Google Android 2.1. The computer will be available with pink, purple, lime green, or light blue lids Priced at around $360 Source [liliputing] a Acer Aspire One Happy, ASUS Netbooks, mini laptop
a

You do not get laptops much smaller than this, well you could but you would hardly be able to see the screen. This is the uSmart M1C 4.8 inch micro laptop that could probably fit into your pocket if it is large enough of course! Information on this is very limited at the moment with it only recently been shown off, but what we would need to consider is of there is a market for such a device, uSmart must think so but it is the consumer that buys the products. Specs – 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, GMA 500 graphics, HDMI output, weighs just 1.1 pounds, a 4.8 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display and user can choose either Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 or Linux. No prices yet. Source [Slash Gear] a mini laptop, usmart micro laptop, uSmart Netbooks
a

Now this is a bit of fun, which the people over at Instructables have come up with. It is as you can see a laptop mount that fits onto the handle bars of a bike. This means that owners of an Asus Eee PC 701 can now fit their mini laptop securely. We are not quite sure that this is a great idea, riding a bike can treacherous enough sometimes, without the added distraction of replying to an email or surfing the net at the same time. However, this is an interesting and funny item though. The MxL5007T can pick up over the air HD (ATSC TV) signals. This device also works with European and other standards such as DVB-T, DVB-H, DTMB, QAM and unencrypted HD cable video channels.
As we have seen recently there are many new Asus models coming to the market place and naturally that means that in order to cope with this influx of new machines, some previous models are going to have to be phased out. It has been announced that Asus will be phasing out all of the company’s mini laptops in the UK and in France. This means that there will plenty of room for the Eee PC 1008HA, Eee PC 1005HA, and another Eee PC 1000-series netbook due to be announced. This is despite the fact that there is a legal battle going on over the desk top version with Apple. It makes you wonder how these things come about, do Pystar think that they have an agreement with Apple or do are they just taking the OS and using it for themselves. It is a weird situation but Pystar must be sure of themselves otherwise why would they bring out a mini laptop. Source [Portable Monkey] a apple, Apple Laptops, Apple Products, mini laptop, os x, pystar
a

It seems that Apple is still the only computer maker who still does not have a current mini laptop on their books. It seems that they could be missing out of some serious business, as the likes of Dell and Asus who have really jumped onto the mobile computing band wagon are proving. But once again, the rumour mill is full of an Apple mini laptop being launched; it is supposed to be smaller and lighter than the smallest laptop in the Apple, but slightly larger than the iPhone. Which puts this new device right in the mini laptop zone.
These days it is common to get a choice of battery, this is because most people that have a mini laptop are going to use while out of the office or away from home, so battery power is essential for staying in touch. However, the difference between a three cell and six cell batteries when it comes to fitting it into a mini laptop is quite a lot as you can see from the image. Therefore, for users it is a matter of what do you what a flush fitting battery that only lasts a couple hours or a battery that sticks out, but lasts a lot longer. Source [Liliputing] a 10" Netbooks, battery power, cell batteries, gallery choice, hp, HP Laptops, Laptop Accessories, Laptop Batteries, mini laptop
a
