Review of the new crocodile covered VAIO

This is a special limited edition of the famous Sony VAIO laptop computer; initially you could be forgiven for thinking that this is a posh girl’s handbag before realising that it is a laptop and indeed and very fine one too. They are covered with crocodile skin, whether this is faux or real is anyone’s guess. However, if it is then there may be a few people who would not even want to touch it.

Dell offer special edition laptop

There is a sure way for computer makers to make more money and that it to take their product glam it up a bit, call it special or limited edition and add $50 to $100 to the price tag. Well maybe I was a little cynical there. Any way Dell are bringing out a special edition of the Studio Line 15.4 inch laptop, they have thrown in special paintwork and a choice of three trims.

Red OLPC!

Here’s some screenshots of the red OLPC, pretty much same thing made for developers of OLPC.

Wilson caught this limited edition Red OLPC at the company’s headquarters near MIT’s campus in Cambridge today. The limited edition run of 100 is made for developers working on the dual boot Sugar Linux and Windows XP system, and has specs identical to the regular OLPC, except 2GB of RAM 2GB flash memory—the minimum required for Windows.
