You may not be familiar with the Olidata brand, so here is a slight background. The company is based in Italy, and have a reputation for making quality machines. The Conte ranges are looking like a direct attack on the Apple Air market, these machine are both light and ultra thin. It looks like ASUS is working on the high-end Eee PC versions, currently dubbed, “ASUS S101″. I really like this concept as I feel that ASUS Eee PCs weren’t going to satisfy my high-power requirements for mobile computing. According to CNET Crave Taiwan and HKEPC, Asus is preparing a high-end version of Eee PC that features 64GB SSD. The new laptop will named as the S101 and the Eee PC brand will be dropped to reflect the higher price tag of $899 USD. The Asus S101 will be powered by Intel’s Atom processor and has a 10.2-inch LCD display with LED backlit. Acer Aspire One A110L now available in Europe!

Acer Aspire One is now availble in Europe. The A110L comes with an Atom N270 processor, the 945GSE chipset, 512MB to 1GB of RAM depending on where you look, an 8.9in LED backlit LCD display with 1,024×600 resolution, an 8GB NAND flash module, a multi-format memory card reader, 802.11b/g WiFi, 10/100Mbit Ethernet, modem and three USB 2.0 ports. It measures 249x170x29mm (WxDxH) and weighs in at 0.9kg. Again, depending on where you look it’ll either come with a 2,200mAH 3-cell battery or a 4,400mAH 4-cell battery. It will use Linpus Linux Lite as its OS and it’s divided up into four sections on the screen to make it easy to locate the applications you need. The sections are connect, work, fund and files.
