The computer manufacturer Asus said that they would be reducing their product last week, but ever since that announcement, they appear to have been launching different models of their laptops every other day. The U and UX series are ultra thin laptops, clearly aimed at the MacBook market but there is only a small amount of information around at the moment, launch is due to be in the second quarter.

MSI have been ringing out nice equipment recently, but the Wind U123 has to be one of the best mini laptops around, as they say it is small but perfectly formed and it is, as it looks much better than some mini laptops than turn up on the market.

A lot of people like to put a cover on their laptops these days, it serves two purposes, first up it makes the laptop to cool as you have added your own individuality to it and secondly the cover protects the surface of the computer and so when you are looking to sell it on its is pretty good shape.

Not all mini laptops have to be thick and squashed laptops, which occasionally look as if they are regular laptops, that have be pushed down from all angles so it could be around ten inches wide. However, along comes something that changes all of that, like the Touch Book a different concept in laptop design. In fact, the Touch Book could be a revolutionary design if only it was taken up by enough people.

Despite the claims by computer and chip makers like Dell and Intel, that the term “Netbook” should be cancelled as a trademark of Psion, because they do not sell any hardware. The company at the root of the Netbook scandal Psion have responded with a letter claiming that they are still selling Netbooks.
