X Ray Friendly Laptop Bags might help the security check point to move FASTER!

It looks like TSA (Transporation Security Administration) has approved design for the new x-ray friendly laptop bags that might just help the line to move faster at your local airport.

It looks like that mysterious listing on Dell’s support site for a “Studio 1535″ laptop is evidence of a larger branding push soon to come — we just got a tip that says Dell’s planning on creating an entire Studio line as “a midpoint between performance XPS systems and entry-level Inspiron systems.”

Looks like ASUS w/ Intel’s Montevina and AMD Puma processors have been leaked:

Based on the existing M51 and M70 lines, the M51VR will feature a 2.26GHz Penryn P8400 with 3MB of L2 cache on Montevina’s 1.06GHz bus, while the M51VA and M70VM (pictured) will get 2.53GHz T9400s with 6MB of cache. MSI Wind Laptop coming soon with SuSE Linux or Windows XP

MSI Wind Laptop coming soon...

MSI is working on their new Wind laptop, which is supposed to compete with the Asus Eec PCs.

The Wind will feature a 10-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, 1.3M web cam, 80GB harddrive, and of course a card reader/wifi.

According to recent rumors, the MSI Wind will also come equipped either in Windows XP or SuSE Linux.

Eee PC helps Asustek become sixth largest PC vendor!

This is definite proof that mini-laptops or UMPC are the future of laptops.

Asustek Computer shipped around 1.4 million notebooks in the first quarter of 2008 and ranked number eight in terms of market share. However, if Eee PC shipments of around 700,000 units are included, the company’s shipments jump to 2.1 million units, surpassing those of Fujitsu and Apple, to rank in sixth place, and closely trailing behind Lenovo who shipped 2.2-2.3 million units, according to a recent report from IDC.
