Asus not phasing out 100HE after all

It seems that there may have been a change of plan when it comes to the phasing out of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE in Europe. There were rumours that the mini laptop was going to be phased out in the UK and France, but it appears that these rumours may be wrong.

Now it seems the same source within Asus is saying that the PC 1000H and the PC 1000HE are the most popular models within the Asus range and have no immediate plans to phase these models out.

Acer 571 with Blu-Ray Review

The latest offering from Acer has thrown up some interesting concepts, none more so that the Aspire One 571 this has the usual 10.1 inch display, but comes with a mini Blu-ray drive that writes and reads tiny Blu-ray discs that measure only 32 mm but can store around 1 Gb of data.
