The computer maker Asus launches a couple a serious contenders with the G60Vx and G51Vx, these are 16 and 15.6 inch respectively and are aimed at the gamers market. The machines not only have the sort of specs that gamers would expect the computers look like a gamers computers too and that can make all of the difference.

Acer Aspire One 751 now available on Amazon for $418.99!
The all new or not so new Acer Aspire One 751 is a far cry from those early days, but not so different to the recent released versions. This machine has a slimmer profile, easy to use keyboard, bright hi-res display and a supposedly long battery life; these are of course the good points, which actually seem to outweigh the bad points such as single touchpad button and performance.
The computer company that returned from the dead, Gateway have been busy in its absence from the market and they have recently introduced a couple nice models to compliment the range. These are the Gateway NV5807u and NV5214u with a starting price of around $500; these are basically the same apart from the processor used.

This is a cross between an all in one desk top computer and mini laptop, in fact with the handle down this computer can service as both, which is cool if that is what you want. The problem that faces the manufacturers is space, there is as little space inside an all in one desk top as there is in a mini laptop and so we are finding that firms like Shuttle are bringing basic versions of this type of computer.

The UMPC market is getting another boost with the introduction of the seven inch UMPC the SK3, this is a nice machine and unusually comes with a keyboard too, and some people like still like to use them! This device is set to go on sale in Japan on the 26th June and will using the Windows XP SP3 operating system.
