Dell partners with Nickelodeon

The computer maker Dell has collaborated with the kids TV channel Nickelodeon to build a special edition netbook aimed at the younger computer user, or maybe not! The netbook can be personalised with characters from the channels shows such as, SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. As well as featuring links to Nickelodeon online games and video content.

The Disney Netpal ready to pre-order

The giant kids retailer Toys “R” Us are taking order for the much awaited Asus Disney netbook that is going to be know in the future as the MK90 Netpal. This 8.9 inch computer is listed on the kids store site as being exclusive and the first deliveries are expected to be made on the 3rd August.

•Intel Atom N270 processor

•8.9″ LED-backlit WSVGA display (1024×600)

•1GB RAM

•160GB HDD or 16GB SSD

•0.3MP webcam

•Windows XP

Asus team up with Disney

Disney have collaborated with the Taiwan based computer maker Asus to produce what they have called the Netpal, it is an 8.9″ mini laptop aimed the kids market. Available in two colours “Princess Pink” and “Magic Blue” the computer has a unique Disney style interface that the target age group of six to twelve will love.

Review of the PeeWee PC

Laptops for children have been around for some time but they have never looked liked this, these are designed for children aged 3 and 10, and it is of course made to a rugged design that with stand the sort of punishment that children of these ages can sometimes dish out. This is more than just a laptop it has a fully rotating screen and can also function as a touch tablet device too.
