This is the newly designed and produced DVD player from Logitec Japan that has supposedly been designed for use with a mini laptop or netbook. This is because as most people would know these small computers do not have a DVD Drive. Most users can get away with not having a DVD Drive, but occasionally there is going to be the when the user wished that they were able to simply stick in a DVD and get on with what they are doing. This device is the next best thing; it is powered by the USB port so it can also be used for CD’s too. Prices are estimated at around $55 when the device is released in October.
Who knews Epson was in the netbook game. Apparently, they are, and they rolled out the new Endeavor Na01 mini today in Japan. Available for about $484, teh Na01 mini can’t print your photos, but it can display them on a 10.2″ display. Just what we needed, another netbook. I won’t get too much into the specifics, as I doubt too many of the LaptopPimp readers are going to rush out to Japan and pick one of these up. But, just in case, here are the specs: Operating System: Windows XP Processor: Atom N270 Processor Speed: 1.6 GHz RAM: 1 GB Weight: 2.83 lbs. Display Size: 10.2″ Graphics: n/a Storage Capacity: 160 GB Networking Options: 802.11b/g Primary Optical Drive: external Every tech blog on the net has something on this little guy, must be a slow day: Engadget, Slash Gear, Boing Boing. Or, you can go over to Epson Japan’s website and play with google translator until you track down a product page. Best of luck. a 10.2" Netbooks, epson, japan, Laptop Reviews, Laptop Specs, Netbook Reviews, Netbook Reviews
a
