Sony plan a Google Chrome netbook

It is rumoured that Sony are planning to jump onto the Chrome OS bandwagon and that there is even a prototype device in the pipeline, of course we have heard all this before and we should be asking is there any value in the Chrome OS at all anyway!

The netbook could offer the user a 11.6 inch LCD display with a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolution, powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 (250) platform, graphics from the Ultra-low power GeForce GPU and it is supposed to weigh around 2.2 lb, which is very light indeed.

The problem with anticipated new ideas is that some people just cannot wait and so we end up with hoaxes and fakes. That means that every time new information or photos come out we have to be very sceptical, but at the same time very interested too.

 

These are so called leaked photos of the Google Chrome Operating System, can we believe that they are true, it is hard to say, but we would be stupid not to take just a little peep at the images just to see.

Google OS for netbooks

This has been coming for some time now, Google have been creeping around the software sector for some time, with apps giving users the opportunity to use email, browser and now an operating system that has been designed for netbooks. The way that Google see it is that most netbooks are using Windows XP; this has been around for eight years or so and has been designed to work with Pentium III and IV processors. Whereas today’s netbooks are using x86 and ARM chips, Chrome OS has been designed to work with these.
