This is a rather unusual device; the Razer Switchblade is described as being a gaming netbook, where the keyboard is actually made up with a series of touch sensitive displays that actually gives the user the feeling of a gaming touchpad and then back to a keyboard.

The IDF Beijing 2001 is always going to be big for far eastern firms, but it seems that MeeGo are looking to make a big splash too with a new look. China is the ideal marketplace for MeeGo and it looks as if they are going for it out there, but so far, all we know about the Meego device is that it has a 10.1 inch display, is 10 mm thick and will be running a Z670 1.50 GHz processor with around 1 GB of RAM
We have seen many cheap or value netbooks around, but could this be the cheapest the netbook on the market so far? It is the Lanyu eBook LY EB01 and it comes from Shenzhen in China, where else? Clearly, you are not going to get a super set of features, but then what would you expect for $98! Whether it ever ends up in or Europe or the US is another matter though.

The VIA Nano processor is creeping into the netbook market of late, with many manufacturers installing the processor into small netbooks. The Kinpo VIA Nano N03 has gone a little bit further by integrating a TD-SCDMA 3G into the device. However, on the down side the battery is estimated to have life of just three hours!

There are plenty of mini laptops around with Apple logos on most of which are not much to write home about, but occasionally machines turn up that make you think that maybe this could be the Apple netbook that everyone keeps talking about.
This one is being produced by a Chinese computer maker; it is an ARM based device with 8.9 inch display and of course the Apple logo on the lid. Is this the Apple laptop in the making or clever hack by a Chinese firm cashing in on the success of Apple.
A lot of mini laptops look similar in style and shape, but that does not mean that they are copies or anything, yet occasionally there comes along something that looks remarkably similar to another model and upon further inspection you realise that it is in fact a clone. That is what this JingWah Digital Fashion A10, look closer and you will notice similarities to the Acer Aspire One, even some of the specs are the same.

The computer maker MSI could be launching a mini laptop that is based on the Google Android operating system, coming from a Chinese news website it looks like they could be showing it off at the Computex 2009 which is being held on the 2nd June.

Deal Extreme is normally associated with cheap batteries and other accessories from made in China, but now it appears that they are diversifying slightly and have managed to get hold of a supply of rebranded laptops. These are now being called the Nuodo UMPC Nebtook laptop. You may not be getting the top brand, but you will not be paying top dollar either, so that sort of cancels each other out.
Inventec 10.1″ V10 laptop was introduced in China for only $230 per laptop. Looks like a good contender with 20GB of hard disk storage and a 1Ghz Via processor.
