Commodore, a company more famous for making Commodore 64 units 20-some years ago than making new trend laptops, has announced they are going to be selling a new line of netbooks. No, your eyes are deceiving you. Commodore (as in Commdore Vic 20,C-64, Amiga) is bringing a Netbook to market. The UMMD 8010/F Netbook was shown off at IDF in Berlin. The specs sound familar to those following the scene (10 inch screen, camera, 1.6Ghz C7–M CPU, 80GB HD, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth optional) and the price is a bit on the high side for NetBooks at around $600. Maybe they are counting on a wave of nostalgia buying. via engadget, gottabemobile a berlin, commodore 64, gottabemobile, idf, Laptop News, Laptop Rumors, laptops, netbook, new trend, nostalgia, screen camera, vic 20, wifi
a

Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode Here’s a video review of the LG X110 netbook mini-notebook at IFA 2008. Don’t ever expect to see these anywhere near the States as Samsung and LG notebooks are strictly for sale in Asia and Europe these days. (Darn, what the heck is point of reviewing LG now?) Other online resources on LG X110: LG’s X110 is making its first appearance in Berlin. Prices will range from €399 to €499 (about $590 to $738) which takes home an 8.9-inch display, 120GB disk (6GB SSD option), 1GB of RAM, and choice of built-in 3G HSDPA and GPS modules. Yes, XP running atop a 1.6GHz Atom processor, too. On sale in Europe at the end of September. via engadget a 8.9" Netbooks, asia and europe, atom, berlin, first appearance, gps modules, hsdpa, ifa, Laptop News, Laptop Reviews, Laptop Video, LG Laptops, mini notebook, notebooks, online resources, samsung, SSD, video review, what the heck
a
