Well, Laptop people, another week has slipped past us. Let’s take a loot at some of the best laptops we looked at this week, as well as the day’s news and a few great how-tos and hacks. First, our top three laptops of the week: 1. The Samsung X460 turned some heads this week. The solid specs and great design was enough for reviwers around the net. 2. The Alienware M17 might have a case that looks like 1998, but inside, it’s all 2008. 3. The Acer Aspire 8930G hit just in time to compete with the M17 for serious gamers looking to replace their desktop. As for a great tip, I have an oldie but a goodie for you. It may not be this simple these days, but on old laptops, replacing that dead battery pack is easier than you think: Also in How-Tos and hacks this week, Laptop Magazine shows you how to upgrade a Samsung NC10′s hard drive. A good tip, even if you dont have an NC10, as knowing a bit more about internal opperations is always interesting. Remember to send any tips or tricks you might have along to me here through the comments. Also, … Continue reading →
a

The Voltaic Generator is one of the seriously cool innovations, which you would really love to have, but just know that the price tag is going to be steep. However, this is proper hi tech stuff which has enough power to charge up a laptop. For the ultimate mobile computing these days, you need to carry a solar panel with you to charge on the go. But here’s a solar powered laptop bag that will allow you to get extra solar power without the hassle of carrying a big, lousy solar panel with you. Using high-efficiency solar cells, this bag charges a laptop, cell phone, and most other handheld electronics. The solar panel generates enough power to fully charge a typical laptop from a day of direct sunlight. It includes a battery pack, which stores the charge and automatically converts it to the required output voltages. Common adaptors are included, and other devices can connect via USB or a car charger. Holds up to a 17″ laptop inside a protective case. via keetsa, Product Page a battery pack, briefcase, car charger, efficiency solar cells, handheld electronics, hassle, high efficiency, Laptop Accessories, Laptop Briefcase, laptop cell phone, Laptop News, mobile computing, … Continue reading →
a
