Acer have produced many ten inch netbooks over the past couple of years and every time there are subtle changes in looks and performance, so when the company announce that they are launching the Acer Aspire One D257 we expect to hear about the specs, but Acer are keeping the specs close to the chest on this occasion. So we will have to go with what we know, so far the D257 appears to be thinner and lighter than any netbook in the current Acer range. It has a new style start button and will dual boot Windows 7 Starter Edition and Google’s Android operating system, although this is not a new feature. There is a video on YouTube that gives a quick walk around. Acer claim that the battery will allow up to eight hours of use on a single charge, it will come with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, will have around three USB, VGA and Ethernet ports. The D257 will also come with a choice of colour, these are; aquamarine, dark chocolate, or seashell white. As for the full details, we await on Acer to release them in due course.
The Timeline from Acer may come under the netbook banner, but considering that the specs have now been released or leaked, this computer seems to fall into the laptop category now. It may have the look and feel of a mini laptop but this carries some series specs and although not mentioned we expect it to come with Windows Vista with the option to upgrade to Windows 7 for free when it is released in October. Aspire Timeline 1810T features: 11.6 inch screen with 1366 × 768 resolution Intel ULV SU3500 1.4 GHz processor Intel GS45 Express Chipset with Integrated Intel GMA4500 MHD graphics core and HD video decoding 4 GB of RAM Wi-Fi Optional 3G and Bluetooth HDMI An 8 hour battery life No news on prices yet! The all new or not so new Acer Aspire One 751 is a far cry from those early days, but not so different to the recent released versions.
There is no doubt that the computer maker Acer have been knocking out some seriously cool machines recently like this nine inch version and is probably the best one around for the size. It seems that this one could even be better than the ten inch version, because it is highly portable and has most the features too.
The maker Acer talks about colour being the key to expression and this Aspire comes in blue, which is supposed to be the one that matches the distinctive style of the owner and not the machine. Of course, colour does not make the machine any better; it just makes it look nice. This machine is one of the best that Acer has to offer and is a leader in the mini laptop sector too. This is a very desirable computer that should be at the top of the list for anyone who is looking for a nice travelling companion. Product Features and Technical Details Product Features Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue design 16″ HD Acer CineCrystal TFT LCD Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor with Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS 4GB RAM (2*2048MB Configuration) memory and 250GB SATA HDD Technical Details Display: 16″ HD Acer CineCrystal TFT LCD, WXGA (220-nit), 1366 x 768 Resolution Operating System: Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit Processor: Intel Core2 Duo T5750 (2.0GHz, 667MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache) Memory: 4GB DDR2 RAM (2*2048MB Configuration) Hard Drive: 250GB SATA HDD Graphics Card: Mobile Intel® PM965 Express Chipset with Nvidia® GeForce® … Continue reading →
a

Owners of the original Acer Aspire One, 8.9 inch display mini laptop are finding out the hard way that playing music too load will break your computer, yes it is true and there are many reports coming in about this serious problem. The issue arises when music is played too loud, this is because the speaker set has been put too close the hard drive and when this happens the sound vibrates the hard drive and eventually it will fail, causing massive data loss or complete failure. Source [Liliputing] a 8.9" Netbooks, acer, Acer Laptops, aspire, music, one
a
