Personally, I am a big fan of Dell Inspiron laptops as they are so cheap and haven’t failed me so far. I already own two Dell 1525 laptops I bought last year. After searching for a good deal on a 15″ laptop, I finally found a ready-to-ship Dell Inspiron 15 laptop for $539.95 on Amazon. This is much cheaper than Dell.com site itself, I believe it’s because these have slightly slower CPUs than the ones Dell.com is right now selling. These are the good deals you can take advantage of, especially since there’s not much noticeable difference in the slightly slower CPU. If you were to get it on Dell.com, you’d have to get a Celeron CPU, which would really suck. Anyways, I am ordering one right now to do a video review and since I am always in need of new laptops. Well, Laptop people, another week has slipped past us. Let’s take a loot at some of the best laptops we looked at this week, as well as the day’s news and a few great how-tos and hacks. First, our top three laptops of the week: 1. The Samsung X460 turned some heads this week. The solid specs and great design was enough for reviwers around the net. 2. The Alienware M17 might have a case that looks like 1998, but inside, it’s all 2008. 3. The Acer Aspire 8930G hit just in time to compete with the M17 for serious gamers looking to replace their desktop. As for a great tip, I have an oldie but a goodie for you. One of ASUS’s newest Eee PC 1000HD is probably a great choice for anyone who doesn’t mind its Linux operating system. Of course, as for me, I rather have a Windows XP and install Linux afterwards if I feel like it. Of course, another side to this story is that the 1000HD has an Intel Celeron M processor versus an Intel Atom N270 processor. (which I prefer. Celerons have proven to be slow in the past.) The other better half of Eee PC 1000HD is the 1000HA, which we will be reviewing next.
