This is another mini laptop from Acer, it’s very similar to the Aspire One and therefore it has be assumed that the device is going to be the 10.1 inch version unless they have brought out a totally new machine which would be surprising to say the least.
The computer maker from Taiwan, Acer are expected to announce at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later on this month, that they intend to join the smart phone market too. This follows the intentions of Dell and Toshiba who will be bringing out their own version of this popular device.
There is probably no day that goes by without a rumour that concerns Apple to one extent or the other. So this one should not come as surprise to anyone who takes an interest in the goings on in Apple, are they talking to AT&T about producing a 3G enabled MacBook.
After the Gateway brand was taken over by Acer they have been coming out with some decent machines like the latest offering the LT1004U Netbook, these have been appearing at some Office Depot stores.

This the smaller version of the TravelMate 6593, it comes with a 14.1 display, but that is more or less where the similarities end, these machines are virtually the same apart from size. However, this machine does offer the travelling businessperson the opportunity to be out of the office but knowing that they can stay in touch and work, as they would have done in the office.
The range of laptops from Acer keep getting better, the Aspire 5920 although looking neat in an off white sort of way the blue the LED’s do not do it any favours at all. This laptop may not initially inspire anyone, yet it is packed full of surprises for a computer in this range.
This pouch bag is just about right for the Acer Aspire One 8.9 inch laptop, it will take the computer with or without the battery pack, so that makes it very handy for travelling around. It is also waterproof which is always a problem with laptop bags as once they are damp they do not offer the computer much protection.
I mentioned last week that Radio Shack will be offering a $99 Acer Aspire One netbook, and I have some more info for you this morning.
As it turns out, AT&T is sponsoring the deal, which comes with a 2-year contract with the wireless company for a 3G subscription that costs $60 a month. So, you save a couple hundred buck for the Acer, but you get stuck in a contract situation with AT&T.
So, is it really a deal? Not in my opinion. The reduced price is nice, but don;t get fooled into a contract to save a hundred bucks or so.

According to Computer World, Acer has out performed Asus in the netbook market, showing that the new market can make way for some little names to become big ones.
