Viewsonic launches the VTablet 101

Most people will know the name Viewsonic, but not for computers as their main business is the manufacture of monitors and LCD televisions.

However it seems that the company has diversified into the Tablet PC market and the result is this VTablet.

This 8.9 inch device was quietly launched in Beijing; it is currently running the Google Android OS and is based on the Nvidia Tegra 2 Platform.

Specs:

The Viewsonic VTablet features a 8.9 inch display with 1024 x 800 pixel res, 4 GB of flash storage, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and offers 3G options with USB modem stick

Priced at about $440 in China
