It looks as if one of the much awaited new tablet launches could be delayed until the first quarter of 2011, Acer initially planned to launch its Android powered tablet before the end of the year. However, due to changes with the Android OS the company are delaying the launch so that the tablet will be using Android 3.0 instead of the 2.2 version.
It makes sense that they make this decision, as the benefits are obvious, the Android 3.0 OS will be offering a nice 1366 × 768 pixel display, while the Android 2.2 version offers 800 × 480! This delay does not the launch of the Windows 7 powered tablet; this will be launched as planned before the end of the year.
