The extremely cheap and versatile computer, which comes under the One Laptop Per Child scheme, is to get a new version, the scheme has already provided up to six hundred thousand units to deserving children from all around the world.
These computers have revolutionised computing in poor countries, the laptop, which runs on a Linux based operating system that has been especially developed for the XO, will be replaced at sometime during 2010, with the XO2.
