Third world countries have a huge demand for cheap technology, it helps educate the young and enable the older people to communicate with their extended families who are often located around the world.
This is where the cheap $200 laptops come into their own, these machines would probably be laughed at by the children in our schools today, but everyone has to start somewhere. This is where Qualcomm have stepped up and will begin to ship the first models next year.
