Here’s an interesting concept solar powered laptop.  Not a bad idea considering the solar panel folds nicely on top of the laptop so you can use it while getting it re-charged.

This is a small personal computer with complete power autonomy. Its independence is due to powerful batteries that are recharged by wide solar panel attached to the main body of the laptop.

BenQ S42 – Victorian-style luxury notebook

Here’s an interesting laptop from BenQ that’s supposedly “victorian” style.

Adopting a 14.1-inch wide LED panel, the S42 is powered by Intel Centrino 2 and GeForce 9600M GS. The S42 is expected to be available in the end of July.

Voodoo Envy 133, just launched, claims to be the world’s thinnest laptop. Well I think not, it doesn’t stand up to the MacBook as shown here:

Nice try though, but we think it does qualify as the thinnest “PC”-based laptop.

Inside said system is going to reside a VIA C7-D processor running at 1.6GHz (so not the new Nano but newer models probably will), Internal 64KB – L1 & 128KB – L2 cache memory and 400MHz FSB. It will be outfitted with DDR2 533 512 MB RAM with an additional single SODIMM slot expansion to 1024MB if required.

It looks like that mysterious listing on Dell’s support site for a “Studio 1535″ laptop is evidence of a larger branding push soon to come — we just got a tip that says Dell’s planning on creating an entire Studio line as “a midpoint between performance XPS systems and entry-level Inspiron systems.”
