Intel has been showing their latest innovation, Light Peak technology at the European Research Showcase in Brussels.

The technology is an optical interconnect capable of transferring data at a speed of 10 Gbps in either direction, this is the technology that Intel will be used to replace the interconnects that we have got used to, such as USB port, Display Port and the HDMI port.
