System 76 launches Netbook with Ubuntu

Try finding a netbook with any operation system other than Linux and you will have your work cut out, sure, there are the higher end models but generally Linux rules in the Netbook world. Therefore, when System 76 released their next gen Starling Netbook you may be surprised to see that it is running the Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx operating system.

These are the features and some specs of the System 76 Starling:

10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, and runs Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. The netbook comes standard with 2GB of DDR2 memory and a 250GB hard drive. However, you can configure it with a larger hard drive or a solid state disk. 802.1b/g/n Wi-Fi and a four cell battery also come standard, although you will be able to order an extra three cell battery or a six cell battery.
