In market where there is a lot of competition, it is hard to wonder why any firm would want to bring out a new device within the same sector unless they have something that the rivals do not have.
Well the Beam (Originally, it was marketed as the Elan) has an impressive battery claim, Windows CE and it is likely to be part of a carrier plan.
Specs of the Mobinnova:
8.9 inch device with power on instantly, weighs less than 2 pounds, the Nvidia Tegra chip that powers a slick 3D interface, provides 720p video playback, accelerated Flash content (once 10.1 becomes available). Mobinnova claims the Beam could last up to 10 hours when playing HD video, or for up to 24 hours of continuous audio playback. No details of prices yet.
