HP Mini 110 and the Mini 1000

Sometimes you cannot go on the numeric values that manufacturers put onto the models, like the Mini 110 from HP; this is supposed to be replacing the HP Mini 1000! Therefore, there are some light changes in size and looks, but if there is so little to choose from what exactly are the main difference between the two models?

The differences between two models:

Thicker and heavier.

No more glare.

It’s got a matte screen now.

No awfully slow or small storage (1.8″ PATA) this time.

There is a standard 2.5″ SATA drive in there with a 160GB HDD.

Now with VGA port.

No need for a dongle.

No Edge-to-edge display (glass that covers both the screen and bezel)

Comes in three colors (white, black and pink)

Speaker no longer in the hinge.

Same position, but further below at the bottom.

Chassis feels a little cheaper than on the Mini 1000 (cheaper material).

Three USB ports instead of two on the HP Mini 1000.

Includes a VGA port unlike the HP Mini 1000.

Touchpad lock button is no longer there.

There is some new software, which allows you to sync stuff to other computers.

Comes with a 3/6-cell Lithium-Ion battery at the back, instead of a li-poly battery in the middle

1080p playback option
