Sun Microsystems and the electronics giant Toshiba are teaming up to produce a new line of OpenSolaris laptops, these will come with software pre-installed and will be available through Sun Microsystems.
The idea behind this is to provide developers with a platform to put their work on show, with applications like Time Slider; this allows the user to produce instant images through an open source application.
