Sony VAIO cheaper but not enough

When it comes to buying laptops, we know that Apple and Sony are going to be at the top end of the budget, not matter what your budget is! However, it seems that the Sony VAIO could be falling in price, currently the normal asking price would be around $1,300, yet there are several stores knocking them out now for around $1,170.

Now that is a drop, but is it enough? We think that the Sony VAIO should be lower in price, preferably below the $1,000 if it is to attract some serious buyers, or maybe this is brand that feels that it is too exclusive to be in the sub $1,000 price range.

These are the features and details for the Sony Vaio 11.1 inch notebook:

2GHz Intel Atom Z550 2GB (1 x 2GB) RAM, 64GB SSD Hard Drive, Intel GMA 500 Graphics, 11.1″ LED Backlit Widescreen Display, Integrated Webcam and Microphone, Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Verizon Mobile Broadband, GPS, Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) and weighs 1.6 lb

Priced at around $1,169.95
