OCZ Neutrino DIY Netbook Reviewed!

ocz-1

The OCZ Neutrino will be available very very soon at $269, with similar features to many other netbooks such as the Eee PC including but not limited to a mere 2.86 pounds, 10-inch 1024×600 pixel screen, Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz processor, 512KB L2 cache, Intel 945GSE motherboard, and the rest configurations you get to choose as it’s a “DIY” netbook, first of its kind.

I highly do like this laptop since it gives the user flexibility to choose hardware apart from the base hardware.  The only thing I am worried is that in my previous 2 HP custom laptops I ordered, they proved to be very faulty as no heat-testing has been done with custom hardware.

I suspect this DIY Neutrino netbook will have similar problems with customization but then again, netbooks probably aren’t susceptible to heat problems as their regular counter-part laptop brothers, it’s already been designed to emit less heat and power.

My verdict?

Get one ASAP as it comes out, looks good.

Based on the Intel® Atom™ processor, the 10.1” Neutrino was developed to push the envelope in the growing area of netbooks as the first DIY offering. Proving that good things come in small packages, the Neutrino provides all the day-to-day file viewing and web-surfing needs for on-the-go traveling, education, office or home use. Equipped with a built-in camera and microphone, Neutrino will expand your horizons through communications between family, friends, and colleagues.
