Laptop Special – 32 GB SSD for only $100 from Dell
The entire gadget community is talking about a new deal from Dell, which is offering a 32GB (wow) SSD hard drive upgrade to it’s already famously inexpensive Dell Mini 9.
The deal is that the upgrade only costs $100, bringing the total system cost to only $449. Now, there are a lot of laptop deals out there on the net, but this is one of those rare, real deals. This is a great way to get a huge drive on a great little netbook. Your mother in law might need a new computer… just a thought.
Dell has all the details, with a thinks to Engadget and Gizmodo for the scoop.

I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with 8GB SSD + 8GB SD card.
The machine gets uncomfortably hot on the bottom, it scares me. I put it on an inverted basket when I put it on my lap. Aside from that, performance is good. 8GB storage is not much nowadays, I have to be careful not to fill it too full. The machine is reliable. It uses WinXP Home SP3. Always need to check for updates, and keep the virusscanner updated. Youtube works well, I can pipe it thru the external VGA port to a 1080p LCD TV.
