In order for computer maker Dell to regain the top spot of being number one in the computer industry they cannot avoid going slim any longer. The laptop market is no longer the same as it was this is because it is fragmenting into different sectors such as netbooks and hand helds.
Dell are reported to be working on a slimmed down version of their range of laptops, this would help them claw back some of the lost ground in theory, although Acer have Dell in their sites too. Have Dell left it too late to fight back?
