Packard Bell is finally scrapping the small screened Dot Netbook, which is essentially a rebadged Acer Aspire One, but only with an 8.9 inch display. Of course, Packard Bell is owned by Acer and therefore the chassis of most of their computers are going to be more or less the same.
Acer have a good line going in the Aspire range and by phasing these machines out they are not risking their reputation and market standing by competing with one of their own brands, they needed to take these machines off the market and replace them Aspires, which are the mini laptop of the moment.
