Here in the UK we have had deals that combine a mini laptop like the Acer Aspire One and mobile broadband, this has to be on contract of course and there may even be an up front fee. However, these deals have now travelled across the ocean and are appearing in the US. It is the same format a mini laptop and wireless broadband on a two year contract with an up front fee of just $99, sounds good!

Well these deals are good if you only use the wireless broadband occasionally, if you think that you are going to replace your fixed line broadband with wireless broadband. Nevertheless, on these contracts there is a data limit of 1 Gb per month, this amount of data could be reached in a day of surfing. Naturally, these providers charge for every Gb that customers use over their limit. There have been cases of bills running into thousands just for one month’s use. You have been warned!
