There are a few laptops and netbooks coming to the market with plans to use the Google Chrome operating system, but one of the main supporters of this OS is Acer as their latest release the ZGA demonstrates.
But these devices may carry the Google logo and have the support of millions of followers, yet there are those who are dead set against the OS, so while it could work out for some suppliers there is the issue of trying to please all of the consumers all of the time.
Acer are still going with Chrome OS for the ZGA model although as with most new announcement how much it will cost and when it will be released is not yet known.
Here are the specs and details for the Acer ZGA with Chrome OS:
Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB SanDisk pSSD-S2 drive, a webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an ambient light sensor (for screen dimming, or possibly a backlit keyboard), and a Synaptics touchpad.
