When Asus released the Eee PC 1000HV there was little known about what the HV actually meant, but the 1000 HV apart from everything that you think it meant. The 1000 HV comes with an ATI Raedeon HD 3450 video card that has its very own 256 Mb of memory and the Super Hybrid Engine, this means that the user can play HD video at the most efficient power level.
Netbook Italia explained the 1000HV’s Super Hybrid Engine settings:
High Performance, standard (max frequency of 1.6 GHz Atom N270 and Atom 1.66 Ghz for N280);
Super Performance, over clocking the processor (frequency up to 1.68 GHz Atom N270 and Atom 1.75 Ghz for N280);
Power Saving, down clock processor (frequency locked to a minimum, 600 MHz for Atom N270 and 750 MHz for Atom N280)
