It seems major-media is picking up on the netbook trend. The Washington Post — hosted from PC World — has an article about what might or might not be a netbook, and Business Week has a larger spread on the netbook craze, too..
With laptops becomming ever more popular, so is laptop theft. But, in the spirit of givign, Front Door Software is offering its Retriever Security software, a $30 setup, for free to nonprofit and charity groups. I assume a lot of charities use laptops but don’t have a lot of room in the budgets if laptops go missing. And, I know that there is a lot of theft from earching the web everyday for laptop news — about half of it is about theft! Thanks to Front Door for helping out the good guys.
AppleInsider reported that Apple has released a fix for the new glass trackpads on the late 2008 MacBooks and MacBookPros. Apparently, the trackpad could error and end up not being recognized. The fix should fix that.
