A new OS is always exciting, and Good OS has announced a new browser-based OS for netbooks called gOS Cloud. Basically a browser with an integrated OSX-like dock for launching web apps, this could be the first step toward the all online OS.

Netbooks will be around at least for a while, thanks to huge numbers on Cyber Monday. PC World is reporting that the mini-notebooks are selling like hotcakes. And overall, Cyber Monday was more of a success than last year, with ZD Net reporting a 46 percent increase in online shopping yesterday

With all this fuss over being green, Easy Energy has one-uped everyone and released they are working on a human powered laptop. Good for you, good for Mother Earth.

There’s also more news about low-cost laptops in third-world classrooms, as kids in Kuala Lumpur are replacing their text books with laptops. , , , , ,
