It is one of those things that affects all laptop users, no matter what size they are or make and that is screen glare. Whenever the sun is shining onto the screen it is virtually impossible for anything to be seen, the screen effectively goes blank.
However many computer makers are working on this problem, especially as netbooks are being promoted as being portable. One such firm is Pixel Qi the small computer company that provides schools with laptops. They have come up with the 3qi screen, this uses the backlight to adjust up and down according to the amount of light facing it, it looks good but it will need to be used in the field to get a real feel for the solution.
