Today, the buzz in the laptop world is surrounding the XO $100 computer, which is available in Europe for the first time this afternoon. Also, Wired has coverage of the ne “get one, give one” promotion from the company, which allows first-world users to pick up one of the laptops for $400 and, at the same time, have a second computer delivered to a child in a third-world county. The simple, well designed laptops are WiFi ready and can bring students all over the world up to the standards of first-world computing. It’s a great project and we here at LaptopPimp love the idea of the “get one, give one” promotion.

Dell announced today a new series of laptops and other computer accessories. The sleek new line, called the Dell Studio Line, will help Dell compete with the MacBook, as it will be marketed toward home entertainment. The line is available in a number of cloros.
