The much awaited launch of the Dell Streak smartphone will happen tomorrow the 13th August and yes, it happens to be a Friday too! Therefore, we take it that the guys over at Dell are too superstitious. Anyway, the base price will be $550 without a contract or with AT&T; the price will be $300 and commitment to a 24 month contract.
The $500 plus price is ball park for a high end Smartphone, but $300 and a two year contract! Now that does seem to be a little pricey.
These are some the features for the much awaited Dell streak 5:
5 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5MP camera and 3G modem. It also comes with a 2GB microSD card for storage. The tablet ships with Google Android 1.6, but an update should be available soon, which will bring the device up to Android 2.2 with support for Adobe Flash.
