With all the craze in mini-laptops, some manufacturers have been “marketing” their new mini-notebook so cheap it’s unbelievable such as this $89 EasyPC E760.
The problem is, there’s no clear definition of what UMPC, Mini-laptop, Mini-notebook, and netbook are.
For one thing, it’s really a new term and people are beginning to realize what they buy might not actually be what they wanted in the first place.
As an example, this $89 EasyPC E760 “claims” to be a laptop with an ARM processor and Windows CE. (FYI, most ARM processors and Windows CE are classified as “embedded PCs”, meaning they are used for industrial automation, not personal notebook. I know this as I used to sell industrial automation stuff)
My advice is to not buy anything with an ARM processor and Windows CE as you won’t be able to do anything on those really…
